Can you repaint a Weber grill?
Stainless steel grills and most enamel-coated grills (like the Weber Genesis Series) don’t need to be repainted. Avoid anything too abrasive or you will scratch the finish and need to repaint your grill rather than just cleaning it. Once the surface has dried, lightly coat the affected areas with cooking oil.
Can you resurface a grill?
Rusty grills not only are unsightly, but using them as a cooking surface might even pose health risks. However, there is no need to discard a battered old grill when it can be refinished instead. Scrub encrusted bits of food off the grill with soap, hot water, a metal scraper and a wire grill brush.

In theory, yes, you can paint your cooktop grate, but you’ll need to source truly food-safe grill paint, which can be hard to find. It’s recommended you simply clean the grates instead, or replace them, if they’re really worn and chipping.
