Potable Drinking Water Treatment System
Durpro introduces a safe affordable potable drinking water treatment system for small municipalities and resorts. Offering a multi-barrier approach to producing safe drinking water, it features efficient, high oxidizing Ozone, followed by Ultraviolet sterilization, creating water free from carcinogenic THMs, E-Coli and other harmful bacteria as well as water borne parasites such as Giardia and Cryptosporidium. This system is designed to effectively treat water with color, making it crystal clear and safe for drinking. Features: Chlorine Free Clear, Safe water THM free Chemical free Ozone Technology Ultraviolet Sterilization Logic Automatic Control Operator friendly Economical Operation Minimum Maintenance Compact Inexpensive Installation This self-contained Module includes: OzoProTM Ozonator ( air cooled) Ozone Contactor Oxygen Concentrator Ozone Destruct Unit Automatic Controls Ultraviolet Sterilizer Storage Tank Room Ozone Monitor Pump Pre Filtration Post Treatment (with pH media) Skid mounted/assembled This water treatment system centers around OzoPro Technology which features an air-cooled, corona discharge Ozone Generator. It offers the same time-tested features of a full blown water treatment plant downsized to meet the lower flow requirements of a smaller municipality and to suit the smaller Installation and Operating Budget. Water is pre-filtered; post filtered and treated to meet national guidelines for suspended solids, turbidity and pH, Ozonated water is then further sterilized with a 254nm wavelength Ultraviolet Sterilizer providing a multi-barrier approach to providing SAFE drinking water. Excess Ozone is burned off in the Ozone Destruct unit preventing ambient air from being contaminated. An integral ambient air Ozone Monitor provides a second protection barrier. To improve taste and odor, the treated water is carbon filtered. This compact, self-contained, module requires only one water connection for each of Inlet, Outlet and Drain and one 110 VAC electrical connection, making it easy and inexpensive to install. No on-going chemical treatment is required, keeping operating costs low and making the module operator-friendly for all certified operators. Safety for both the Operators and Families collecting the purified water is ensured by the combination of Monitoring, Ozone Destruction and the Automatic Logic Control system which prevents the production of un-safe water and shuts the system down should un-safe operating conditions occur. Filtomat M100 Filters
The FILTOMAT M100 series are automatic hydraulic filters, with a self-cleaning mechanism powered by a water-driven turbine. This series of filters is designed to work with various screen types, with filtration degrees from 500 to 80 micron, and is available in 2" to 12" inlet/outlet diameters. These filters units are hydraulically driven; no external power source is required. This feature enables operation at remote installation sites. Filtering process Water enters the filter and passes through a pre screen which is designed to protect the cleaning mechanism from large debris. Particulate collects on the main screen and forms a "filter cake". The filter cake causes a pressure differential between the inlet and outlet of the filter. Self-Cleaning process The self-cleaning process begins when the pressure differential across the screen reaches a preset level of 0.5 bar. The rinse controller signals an internal flush valve to open. This creates a strong flow of water out of the filter due to pressure in the filter system. The flow of water through nozzles creates a focused back-flushing which effectively removes particles from the screen surface. This water is directed through the suction scanner nozzles attached to a hollow suction scanner shaft, through a turbine, which creates a spiral movement of the suction scanner shaft, and out the exhaust valve. Pressure drop in the turbine chamber and drainage of a piston (in the Modular type units only) forces the suction scanner shaft to move outward. The suction scanner nozzles sweep across the main screen. The combined spin and outward movement ensures that the suction nozzles clean the entire main screen. When the first outward cleaning stroke is completed, a second flushing cycle is triggered, pushing the suction scanner assembly inward to its original position. The combined flush cycle takes 10-15 seconds, depending on the operating pressure. Control device options The standard filter is hydraulically driven and does not require an external source of power for operation. An optional electronic controller can be added to enable the operation of multiple filters in parallel or to incorporate additional functions (valve control, output signals to a central control system, etc.). In an increasingly crowded world, the need for clean water concerns everyone involved in sustaining our quality of life. Society and economy cannot exist without water; because water is life. For more than 40 years, Amiad has helped meet this need by developing a comprehensive line of exceptionally efficient, automatic self-cleaning filters and manual filters for use in industry, municipalities, and irrigation. Amiad provides solutions in more than 66 countries, with seven subsidiaries and sales offices. Filtomat ® MCFM Series
The MCFM series filter removes dirt particles as water flows through the coarse and fine screens to the outlet. The PLC controls the self-cleaning modes required according to type of dirt and dirt loads. The self-cleaning cycle modes include: Continuous flushing P and time triggered P flushing In the flush mode, the drain chamber is always open releasing a continuous flow of a small quantity of water to the atmosphere through the continuous flushing drain valve and the super flush valve. Input from P and H P switches opens these valves. The continuous flow of water forces a steady back flush streams through the fine screen and into the environment via the back flush nozzles, collector pipe and drain chamber. The booster pump delivers filtered water to the hollow shaft of the collector pipe and to the injection nozzles, which inject a jet stream onto the fine screen. The electric motor causes the collector pipe and nozzles to spin, while the piston pushes the collector pipe back and forth. This helical motion together with the backflush and jet streams ensure 100% cleaning of both sides of the fine screen. Note: The back flush process also operates at time-triggered intervals in combination with inputs from P and H P switches. Features: Easy to install, operate and maintain Line pressure operation – even low pressure High flow rates in a compact design 100% cleaning on both sides of the fine screen Hydraulic or electric control Short payback period Click here for more
