Chem-Aqua, Inc., a wholly owned water treatment subsidiary of NCH Corporation, is pleased to announce that Jerry Angelilli, Manager of Oxidative Technology for Chem-Aqua in Dallas, TX, and Pat Guccione, Vice President of Business Development for Chem-Aqua in Dallas, TX, coauthored an article that was published in Facilities Engineering Journal, a bimonthly magazine of the Association for Facilities Engineering (AFE). Mr. Angelilli was also selected to conduct a virtual interactive seminar for AFE. The article was featured as technical experts’ advice on the impact of impending ASHRAE and CTI standards and the seminar was on the same topic.
Mr. Angelilli’s and Mr. Guccione’s article, “The Impact of Impending Standards on Building Water Treatment Practices,” ran in the March/April 2012 issue of Facilities Engineering Journal, which was the Spring Maintenance Issue. The article highlighted the likely adoption of two significant industry standards that will largely impact how building water systems are maintained and operated: ASHRAE 188P and CTI 159. The publication of this article is significant as Facilities Engineering Journal is the preferred source of technical information relevant to the field of facilities engineering. The journal reaches over 16,000 facilities engineering professionals.
Along with publishing a journal, AFE selects experienced representatives from the field to teach virtual classes. AFE scheduled Mr. Angelilli as a presenter and his session, The Impact of Impending Standards on Building Water Treatment Practices, was held on Tuesday, March 27th. The course focused on the same key points as the article and was a great success with excellent attendance. Presenting this AFE class is significant since the course serves as an educational resource for plant/facilities, engineering, operations and maintenance professionals. Furthermore, each course equates to 0.1 CEU or recertification credit for individuals currently holding AFE credentialing.
